9.Peles Castle: Many people consider this as the most beautiful castles in the Europe. Many Romanian monarchs including king Carol 1 was buried here. This castle was named after the famous river Peles that flows through the courtyard of the castle.

10.Histria citadel: This is Romania’s oldest town and was built by the Greek traders in 657 BC. But this city was abandoned in the 7th century AD and the left over were discovered in the year 1914.

Places to Visit in Mauritius

Mauritius is a speck in the map to the east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. However size does not matter here as Mauritius is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is a part of the Mascarene Islands formed due to volcanic eruptions from under the sea millions of years ago, but the volcanic activities have ceased years ago making it a marvelous place to spend holidays. The climate is mostly favorable but the climate during January to April may prove a bit tedious due to the long days and humid weather. People interested in diving should pick the time from December through March with the clearest water at their disposal. June through is high time for surfing and big game fishing thrives from October through April.

The biggest attraction of Mauritius are its picturesque beaches along the north, east and western side of the coastline, due to the protection offered by the coral reefs while the southern side devoid of such protection does not boast of any good beaches. The best beaches in the north can be mentioned as Grand Bay, Pereybère, Mon Choisy, Trou aux Biches. The western favorites are Flic en Flac, Tamarin and Le Morne and last but not the least the east boasts of Belle Mare, one of Mauritius’ longest beaches with blue bay holding the most prominent spot in south east. The Robert Edouard Hart Museum, situated in Souillac is not far from Rochester Falls, a beautiful waterfall of Mauritius. The other places to visit are Vanilla Crocodile Park, Le Val Nature Park. Another must visit is the ‘Domaine du Chasseur’ in the south east of the island. In the central plateau, the valley of colors delights visitors with its natural flora and fauna. The Maccabées Forest and the Black River Gorges is the home of the last of the endemic forests and nearly extinct birds and trees.

Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius, showcases its diversity with the various temples, pagodas, cathedrals and mosques. Its old buildings, paved roads and the national history museum also makes it worth visiting. Champ de Mars has the oldest race course in the Indian Ocean.

Apart from being shopping destinations, Curepipe’s extinct volcano Trou aux Cerfs, Rose Hill’s Theatre, Le Plaza are worth visiting whereas Quatre Bornes is purely a shopping heaven. Grand bay, a northern coast fishing village, is most known for water sports, scuba diving and exploring the coral reefs. Mahebourg, the former French capital of Mauritius, is a calm coastal village sheltering the naval museum.
